Sensex down 67pts; DLF sheds 5%

The Sensex has extended losses and is now down 67 points at 8,835.

Ranbaxy has slumped 13.6% to Rs 179.

DLF has tumbled 5% to Rs 147. ICICI Bank has plunged 3.8% to Rs 328, and HDFC has shed 3.3% at Rs 1,213.

BHEL and SBI have dropped 1.6% each to Rs 1,357 and Rs 1,021, respectively.

Maruti has declined 1.3% to Rs 654. Tata Steel and Infosys are down 1% each at Rs 161 and Rs 1,204, respectively.

Tata Motors has rallied over 2% to Rs 143. ONGC and Larsen & Toubro are up around 1% each at Rs 703 and Rs 620, respectively.
