Sensex down 70pts; Bharti, Sun Pharma shed 4%

The Sensex opened 37 points higher at 9,746, but soon slipped into red owing to subdued cues from the Asian peers. The index touched a low of 9,546, and is now down 70 points at 9,638.
Bharti Airtel and Sun Pharma have slumped nearly 4% each to Rs 601 and Rs 1,070, respectively.
Hindustan Unilever has plunged 3.5% to Rs 230. TCS has shed 2.5% at Rs 526.
SBI, ITC and Wipro have dropped around 2% each to Rs 1,043, Rs 181 and Rs 241, respectively.
ONGC has slipped nearly 2% to Rs 766. Tata Motors has declined 1.5% to Rs 178.
Ranbaxy has soared over 5% to Rs 174. HDFC has surged 3.5% to Rs 1,461.
Tata Power has rallied nearly 3% to Rs 787.
