Sensex down over 100pts; Reliance declines 2%

The Sensex is now down 117 points at 9,085. Earlier in the day, the index opened 40 points higher at 9,242, and soon touched a high of 9,247.
Mahindra & Mahindra has slumped 5.5% to Rs 267. Maruti has shed 4% at Rs 578, and Tata Motors has dropped 3% to Rs 131.
Sterlite has plunged nearly 5% to Rs 266. HDFC has slipped 3% to Rs 1,399.
Bharti Airtel and TCS have declined nearly 2.5% each to Rs 619 and Rs 488, respectively.
Reliance, DLF and Larsen & Toubro are down around 2% each at Rs 1,280, Rs 137 and Rs 641, respectively.
Tata Steel has gained 2.5% at Rs 184.
The market breadth is marginally negative - out of 2,132 stocks traded so far, 1,208 have declined, 821 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
