The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 205 points at 10,428. Nervousness in early trades saw the index pare gains and touch a low of 10,250.
However, renewed buying interest in the market helped the index bounce back to higher levels. The Sensex rallied to a high of 10,750, and finally ended with a gain of 487 points at 10,710.
