Sensex ends up 596pts at 10,560

The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 191 points at 10,155. After touching a low of 10,096, the index began to move up on the back of unabated buying in metal stocks. Energy and Capital Goods stocks, too, witnessed aggressive buying today.

The Sensex touched a high of 10,571 at the fag end of the day, and finally settled with a gain of 596 points at 10,560.
