Sensex flat; Hindalco up 5%

The Sensex is gyrating zones, the index slipped to a low of 16,135.

The index has rebounded into the positive terrain and is now at 16,240, up 24 points.

Hindalco has advanced 4.5% to Rs 122. Bharti Airtel and Wipro have added around 1.5% to Rs 423 and Rs 552, respectively.

HDFC, Larsen & Toubro and ICICI Bank are up over 1% each.

Sterlite has slipped 3.5% to Rs 740. Hero Honda and Reliance Communications have dropped 2% each to Rs 1,550 and Rs 303, respectively.

Jaiprakash Associates, Hindustan Unilever, Maruti and ACC are down 1% each.
