Sensex in red, down 67pts; Reliance drags

The Sensex after touching a high of 9,836 in opening trades, tumbled into the negative zone to a low of 9,396. The index is now down 67 points at 9469.
Reliance has plunged nearly 6% to Rs 1,094. BHEL has slumped over 5% to Rs 1,267.
Wipro has tumbled nearly 4% to Rs 238. Mahindra & Mahindra and Infosys have dropped around 3% each to Rs 331 and Rs 1,222, respectively.
ITC and HDFC have shed 1.7% each at Rs 167 and Rs 1,611, respectively. Larsen & Toubro is down 1.5% at Rs 815.
Bharti Airtel has surged 2.7% to Rs 648. Sterlite and ONGC have rallied 2.5% each to Rs 243 and Rs 728, respectively.
Tata Power has advanced nearly 2% to Rs 746. Reliance Communications, and Ranbaxy are up 1.3% each at Rs 219 and Rs 217, respectively.
