Sensex sheds 400pts from high; ACC slips 5%

The Nifty is down 27 points at 3,869.

Wipro has soared 4% to Rs 433, and Satyam has surged 3.3% to Rs 447. Infosys has rallied nearly 2% to Rs 1,742.

ONGC and Hindalco have moved up 1.7% each to Rs 804 and Rs 136, respectively.

Maruti and Reliance Communications are up 1% each at Rs 574 and Rs 400, respectively.

ACC has tumbled nearly 5% to Rs 481. Tata Motors has shed 4.5% at Rs 390.

Reliance Infrastructure, HDFC and Jaiprakash Associates have slumped 4% each to Rs 673, Rs 1,760 and Rs 130, respectively.

DLF has dropped 3.5% to Rs 356. Tata Steel, ITC and ICICI Bank hacve declined 2.3% each to Rs 681, Rs 179 and Rs 576, respectively.

 

Reliance has slipped 2% to Rs 2,000. Larsen & Toubro and Ambuja Cements are down over 1% each at Rs 2,115 and Rs 72, respectively.
