Sensex steady; Hindalco, Satyam slip into red

The NSE Nifty is up 127 points at 4,115.

ICICI Bank has zoomed over 6% to Rs 631.

Jaiprakash Associates and Reliance Communications have soared 5.5% each to Rs 166 and Rs 438, respectively.

Reliance Infrastructure, Maruti and ITC has rallied around 5% each to Rs 794, Rs 598 and Rs 180, respectively.

Tata Motors, DLF and Bharti Airtel have advanced over 4% each to Rs 392, Rs 448 and Rs 740, respectively.

Grasim, HDFC and TCS have moved up nearly 4% each to Rs 1,735, Rs 2,088 and Rs 858, respectively.

BHEL has gained 3.7% at Rs 1,553. HDFC Bank has added 3.3% to Rs 1,035.

 

Larsen & Toubro, SBI and ONGC are up 3% each at Rs 2,473, Rs 1,241 and Rs 897, respectively.

Hindalco and Satyam have slipped into red and are down around 1% each at Rs 144 and Rs 463, respectively.
