Sensex steady; Infosys slips 2%

The Sensex touched a high of 9,706, and is now up 105 points at 9,673.

Satyam has soared nearly 5% to Rs 142. Jaiprakash Associates has surged 3.3% to Rs 79.

Tata Steel has gained 2.8% at Rs 224. Reliance Communications, DLF and HDFC have rallied 2.5% each to Rs 213, Rs 302 and Rs 1,500, respectively.

Reliance Infrastructure, Sterlite and Reliance have advanced 2.3% each to Rs 591, Rs 262 and Rs 1,268, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra, Larsen & Toubro and ICICI Bank have added 2% each to Rs 284, Rs 780 and Rs 449, respectively.

Hindalco, ACC and Tata Motors have moved up nearly 2% each to Rs 52, Rs 474 and Rs 163, respectively.

 

Infosys has slipped 1.8% to Rs 1,151. ONGC and Wipro are down over 1% each to Rs 663 and Rs 230, respectively.
