Sensex up 289pts; TCS, Reliance rallies 6%

The Sensex is now up 289 points at 10,512.

Jaiprakash Associates has zoomed over 13% to Rs 77. Reliance Infrastructure and Satyam have soared over 7% each to Rs 517 and Rs 310, respectively.

Reliance Communicaitons has surged 6.7% to Rs 248. TCS, Sterlite, Reliance and Tata Power have rallied 6% each to Rs 528, Rs 288, Rs 1,400 and Rs 763, respectively.

ICICI Bank has moved up 5.7% to Rs 434. Infosys has gained over 5% at Rs 1,365.

Tata Steel has added 4.8% to Rs 265, and Wipro is up 4.4% at Rs 293.

Mahindra & Mahindra has plunged over 4% to Rs 400. Hindalco and Bharti Airtel have slipped around 1.5% each to Rs 65 and Rs 698, respectively.
