Sensex up 67pts in early trades

The Sensex after a volatile session yesterday, opened up 36 points at 15,447.

The index touched a high of 15,544 and is now up  67 points at 15,478.

ICICI Bank has gained 2.5% at Rs 768. Sterlite and Hindalco have added 2% each to Rs 716 and Rs 103, respectively.

Ranbaxy, Reliance Infrastructure, Tata Steel, Jaiprakash Associates, Reliance, ACC, Reliance Communications and SBI have advanced over 1% each.

Meanwhile, Hindustan Unilever and Mahindra & Mahindra have slipped 2% each to Rs 255 and Rs 799, respectively.

ONGC, Maruti and Tata Motors have dropped 1% each.
