Sensex up 8pts; L&T down 2%

The Nifty is trading 8.5 points lower at 4851.

Ambuja Cements is up 4.8% at Rs 102. Hindalco and ITC are up 4% at Rs 193 and Rs 217 respectively. 

Satyam has gained 2.2% at Rs 510. TCS is up 2% at Rs 986. Wipro, HUL, ACC, Grasim, SBI, Ranbaxy and Bharti are all trading over 1%.

Bhel is trading 3.2% lower at Rs 1,604 and L&T is down 2% to Rs 2,689.Reliance Infra, ONGC and RCom have declined over 1.5% at Rs 1,237, Rs 870 and Rs Rs 543 respectively.

Tata Motors , M&M, NTPC, Tata Steel, Maruti, ICICI Bank and HDFC are the other losers.
