Sensex up nearly 200pts; RCom gains 5%

The Sensex opened 77 points higher at 9,226, and has since firmed up. The index is now up 182 points at 9,332.

Jaiprakash Associates has soared 5.7% to Rs 70, and Reliance Communications (RCom) has surged 4.8% to Rs 167.

Tata Steel has rallied 4.5% to Rs 178. Sterlite has moved up nearly 4% to Rs 278.

Reliance Infrastructure has gained over 3.5% at Rs 542. DLF has advanced nearly 3% to Rs 137.

Tata Motors and ICICI Bank have added 2.7% each to Rs 137 and Rs 402, respectively.

Hindalco, Wipro and ONGC are up around 2.5% each at Rs 46, Rs 230 and Rs 666, respectively,

 

Larsen & Toubro, TCS and Reliance are up 2.3% each at Rs 673, Rs 512 and Rs 1,332, respectively.
