Silver futures succumb to profit-booking, down Rs 95

Silver prices were down by Rs 95 to Rs 37,372 per kg in futures trade today as speculators reduced their positions to profit-booking amid a weak trend overseas.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver prices for delivery in far-month March next year traded lower by Rs 95, or 0.25%, to Rs 37,372 per kg in business turnover of four lots.
Similarly, the white metal for delivery in December contracts was trading lower by Rs 84, or 0.23%, to Rs 36,657 per kg in business volume of 518 lots.

In the international market, silver lost 0.2% to $15.63 an ounce in Singapore after surging to $15.73 in yesterday's trade, the highest price since July 13.
Market analysts said a weak trend in global markets profit-booking by speculators, mainly weighed on silver futures here.
