Silver futures up 0.1% on spot demand

Silver prices traded marginally higher by 0.12% to Rs 48,216 per kg in futures trading today as speculators indulged in creating fresh positions on expectations of a rise in demand for the wedding season.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in December rose by Rs 57, or 0.12%, to Rs 48,216 per kg in business turnover of 2,745 lots.
Similarly, the white metal for delivery in March edged up by Rs 31, or 0.06%, to Rs 49,724 per kg in 69 lots.
Analysts said speculators indulged in creating fresh positions on expectations of a rise in demand during the wedding season mainly led to rise in silver prices at futures trade.
