Silver futures up 0.4% on global cues

Silver prices recovered by Rs 167 to Rs 43,429 per kg in futures trading today as speculators created fresh positions buoyed by a firm global trend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the July contract traded Rs 167, or 0.39%, higher at Rs 43,429 per kg in 1,274 lots.
The September contract traded higher by Rs 144, or 0.33%, to Rs 44,062 per kg in 25 lots.
Market analysts said fresh positions built up by speculators buoyed by a firm global trend mainly pushed up silver prices at futures trade.
Meanwhile, silver rose 0.25% to $22.33 an ounce in Singapore.

The September contract traded higher by Rs 144, or 0.33%, to Rs 44,062 per kg in 25 lots.
