Silver prices rose by 0.71% to Rs 41,813 per kg in futures trade today as participants built up fresh positions, tracking a firming overseas trend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver prices for delivery in September rose by Rs 296, or 0.71%, to Rs 41,813 per kg in business turnover of 684 lots.
In similar fashion, the white metal prices for delivery in December traded Rs 229, or 0.54%, higher at Rs 42,550 per kg in a turnover of 16 lots.
