Silver rises 0.80% futures trade on global trend

Silver prices surged by 0.80% to Rs 45,266 per kg in futures trading today as speculators created fresh positions, tracking a firming trend overseas.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the July contract rose by Rs 360, or 0.80%, to Rs 45,266 per kg in business turnover of 4,334 lots.
The September contract traded higher by Rs 338, or 0.74%, to Rs 45,980 per kg in 170 lots.
Analysts said the rise in silver futures was mostly on the back of a firming trend in precious metals in the global markets.
Meanwhile, silver advanced 0.9% to $24.19 an ounce in Singapore.
