Soyabean declines 1.7% on global cues

March contract, too, dipped by Rs 49.50, or 1.40%

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Soyabean futures for April slipped by Rs 60.50, or 1.72%, to Rs 3,457.50 per quintal in 1,12,820 lots.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), the May contract declined by Rs 53.50, or 1.54%, to Rs 3,420 per quintal in 76,020 lots.

Prices went down as traders off-loaded their holdings driven by weakening overseas markets sentiment.

Fall in Soyabean prices at international markets along with weak trend in other edible oils, mainly led the fall in future prices.

March contract, too, dipped by Rs 49.50, or 1.40%, to Rs 3,474 per quintal in 6,510 lots.
