Steel prices remain steady on thin trade

Steady conditions developed in the wholesale steel market today as saria and other steel prices moved in a tight range on limited deals and settled around previous levels.

Marketmen said adequate stocks position against sporadic demand mainly kept prices mostly unchanged.

Following are today's quotations in Rs per tonne:

CTD saria (Kamdhenu) 8-mm, 33,000, 10-mm, 33,000, 12-mm 32,800, 16-25 mm  33,000.

Rathi tor steel : 8-mm 33,500, 10-mm 33,500, 12-mm 34,000, 16-20 mm 34,000 and 25-32 mm 34,000.

Saria Jai Bharat (iso 9002) 8-mm 33,700, 10 mm 33,600, 12-mm 33,700, 16-25 mm 33,600.
