The National Stock Exchange (NSE) and BSE on Friday conducted live trading from their disaster recovery (DR) site. The BSE in a statement said that things worked normally from the DR site and no members reported of any problems. As per Sebi guidelines, exchanges have to conduct live trading sessions from their DR sites for at least two days in a row every six months. Exchanges are to set up their DR sites in different seismic zones to ensure both sites are not affected in case of the same disaster. In March, the market regulator tightened rules around the business continuity plan and DR site. The move followed an outage at NSE in February that disrupted trading for more than three hours.
