Sugar declines on ample supply, weak demand

Sugar prices continued to trade lower at the Vashi wholesale market here today due to lack of retail buying coupled with better supplies.

Medium sugar (M-30) fell by Rs 1/10 per quintal to Rs 2,791/2,901 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 2,792/2,911.

Small sugar (S-30) also moved down by Rs 4 per quintal to Rs 2,751/2,821 as compared to Rs 2,751/2,825 yesterday.
