Sugar prices declined further at the Vashi wholesale market here today on sustained selling pressure from mills coupled with lower consumer demand.
"Lower demand as well as ample liquidity before monsoon is supporting the fall," a trader said. Medium sugar quality (M-30) fell by Rs 25/10 per quintal to Rs 2,675/2,765 as against Rs 2,700/2,785.
Small sugar quality (S-30) moved down by Rs 5/10 per quintal to Rs 2,645/2,680 from yesterday's closing level of Rs 2,650/2,690.

Small sugar (S-30) quality Rs 2,645/2,680 (Rs 2,650/ 2,690) and Medium sugar (M-30) quality Rs 2,675/2,765 (Rs 2,700/2,785).
