Sugar prices remain quiet on thin trade

Steady conditions persisted in the wholesale sugar market of the national capital today on restricted offtake followed by less supply of the commodity.

Marketmen said, small buying support against adequate stocks position kept sugar prices unaltered.

Following are today's rates in Rs per quintal:

Sugar ready M-30 2,975-3,100 and S-30 2,965-3,090.

Mill delivery M-30 2,780-3,000 and S-30 2,770-2990.

Sugar mill gate prices (excluding duty): Kinonni 3,060, Asmoli 3,070, Mawana 2,980, Titabi 2,970, Thanabhavan 2,950, Budhana 2,960 and Dorala 2,980.
