Steady conditions persisted in the wholesale sugar market at the national capital today, as prices continued to be on previous closing levels on adequate stocks position against restricted buying.
Marketmen said reduced supply from mills due to adverse weather conditions, amid slackness in demand, held sugar prices unaltered.
The following were today's quotation in Rs per quintal.
Sugar ready M-30 3,150-3,275 and S-30 3,125-3,250.
Mill delivery M-30 2,900-3,075 and S-30 2,890-3,065.
Sugar mill gate prices (excluding duty): Kinonni 3,020, Asmoli 3,010, Mawana 2,985, Titabi 2,980, Thanabhavan 2,940, Budhana 2950 and Dorala 2,990.
