Turmeric and jeera prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal each in the national capital today due to local demand and hopes of a pick-up in overseas enquiries.
Turmeric prices rose by Rs 100 to conclude at Rs 8,600-14,600 per quintal on reports of lower rains in key growing areas, which could impact the production.
Jeera common and jeera best quality also increased by Rs 100 each to settle at Rs 14,700-14,900 and Rs 16,900-17,000 per quintal due to local demand and hopes of a pick-up in overseas enquiries.
