TV Today Network dips on weak Q4 earnings
Q4 profit down 13% yoy at Rs 6.36 crore due to lower operational income.
TV Today Network has dipped 7% to Rs 79 on reporting 13% year-on-year (yoy) drop in its standalone net profit at Rs 6.36 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2013 due to lower operational income. The company engaged in news broadcasting business had reported a profit of Rs 7.33 crore in a year ago quarter.
Total income from operations declined 5% to Rs 84.27 crore on yoy basis, while total expenditure almost unchanged at Rs 78 crore over the previous year quarter, TV Today Network said in a statement.
The stock opened at Rs 81 and hit a low of Rs 78.55 on BSE. A combined around 46,000 shares have changed hands on the counter till 0935 hours on BSE and NSE.
