Upmove continues; Jaiprakash, DLF zoom

The Sensex continues to extend gains and is now up 341 points at 9,089.

Jaiprakash Associates has zoomed nearly 11% to Rs 69. DLF has surged 8.5% to Rs 208, and Tata Motors has rallied over 8% to Rs 144.

Reliance and BHEL have moved up 6.7% each to Rs 1,141 and Rs 1,354, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro and ICICI Bank have gained 6.5% each at Rs 735 and Rs 356, respectively.

Sterlite and Tata Steel have advanced 5.7% each to Rs 247 and Rs 174, respectively.

SBI and Reliance Infrastructure are up over 5% each at Rs 1,155 and Rs 534, respectively.

 

The market breadth is fairly positive - out of 2,062 stocks traded so far, 1,312 have advanced, 674 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
