V-Mart Retail has gained around 7% on BSE aided by aggressive expansion in tier-2 and 3 cities, particularly in the states of Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh.
 
On Tuesday the company announced the opening of its 102nd store in Allahabad, UP. Based in New Delhi, the company’s operations are spread across northern, western and eastern parts of India and its stores are located in New Delhi, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. The company primarily operates in Tier-2 and 3 cities, and offers apparels, general merchandise and kirana.
 
The shares opened at Rs 560 and has a hit a high of Rs 585.90 while around 24,000 shares have changed hands on BSE and NSE combined, so far.
