Wheat rises on increased offtake by flour mills

Wheat dara prices traded marginally higher by Rs 5 per quintal in an otherwise steady market today on increased offtake by flour mills against tight supply. 

Elsewhere, other grains prices moved in a tight range on alternate bouts of trading and settled around previous levels. 

Traders said increased offtake by flour mills to meet rising demand in view of marriage season led to rise in wheat dara prices.

Wheat dara (for mills) gained Rs 5 to Rs 1,305-1,310, while wheat deshi held steady at Rs 1,650-1,765 per quintal.

Atta chakki delivery followed suit and traded higher by the same margin to Rs 1,310-1,315 per 90 kg.
