Zinc down 0.1% on overseas trend, subdued demand
Metal for delivery in current month fell by 0.08%

Zinc futures prices today fell by 0.17% to Rs 120.30 per kg, largely in line with a weak trend in the overseas markets and subdued spot demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in November traded 20 paise, or 0.17%, lower at Rs 120.30 per kg with a business turnover of 17 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in current month fell by 10 paise, or 0.08%, to trade at Rs 119.05 per kg, with a business turnover of 137 lots.
Marketmen said besides sluggish domestic demand, a weak trend in select base metals in the global markets and subdued domestic demand, led to the fall in zinc futures prices here.
