Zinc up 0.3% on firm spot demand

Zinc futures prices today edged up by 0.25% to Rs 99.70 per kg after speculators enlarged positions amid a firm trend at domestic spot markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the May contract edged up by 25 paise, or 0.25%, to Rs 99.70 per kg in 899 lots.
The June contract gained 15 paise, or 0.15% to trade at Rs 100.55 per kg in 68 lots.
Marketmen said improved demand in the spot market mainly supported the upside in zinc futures prices.
