Zinc up 0.6% on overseas cues

Zinc futures for March up by 60 paise, or 0.58%, to Rs 104.50 per kg in 1,219 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the April contract rose by 55 paise, or 0.52%, to Rs 105.85 per kg in 103 lots.

Prices went up as speculators enlarged positions amid better domestic demand.

Firming trend in base metals overseas, supported the rise in zinc futures trade here.
