A 26-year old woman has allegedly been drugged and gangraped in the Muzzaffarnagar area of Uttar Pradesh.
According to reports, the victim had gone to a gift shop yesterday, where she was offered a sedative-laden cold drink by the shop's owner. After the victim fainted, the shop owner, along with four others, raped her.
The victim, in her complaint, has reportedly stated that she was threatened of 'dire consequences' by the perpetrators if she revealed the incident to anyone.
One of the accused is said to be the son of a sub-inspector in Muzaffarnagar.
The police have said that at least four accused have been identified in connection with this case.
