50 cm railway track found damaged in Lucknow, major accident averted

Fifty centimeters of railway track was found damaged in the Mohanlalganj area of Lucknow on Friday, averting a major mishap.

A Lucknow-Prayag passenger train was plying on the route, but the driver's alertness ensured that an accident was avoided.

An investigation has been ordered.
