6 Indians abducted in Afghanistan

Six Indians on Sunday morning were abducted by unknown armed men in Afghanistan's Baghlan province.

On the whole, seven staff members of Indian company KEC International Limited have been abducted, confirmed the Afghan officials.

Out of the seven staff members abducted, whilst six are Indians, one is an Afghan. All seven of them were abducted in Bagh-e-Shamal village of the Pul-e-Khomre city capital of Baghlan province, reported Afghan's TOLO News.

According to the report, the incident took place when they were going to the village, where the company is said to own an electricity sub-station contract.

Baghlan provincial council have linked the incident to the Taliban, however, that stands unconfirmed, as the terror outfit has not commented so far.
