7.2 magnitude quake hit off the Coast of Philippines

A powerful earthquake measuring 7.2 on richter scale occurred on Saturday morning near Mindanao, Philippines.

The quake occurred at a depth of 40 kilometers at about 4:23 a.m. local time, reported Sputnik, quoting the US Geological Survey.

As per the meteorologists these kind of quake can even lead to tsunami waves, along the Filippino coast.
