Amity University has organized a scholarship award function spread over two days on Thursday and Friday at its Sector-125 Noida campus.
Scholarships worth several crores will be awarded to over 1235 students pursuing under-graduate and post-graduate programmes on these two days.
On the first day, over 182 students received the "Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan Scholarships" and 497 meritorious students "On Admission Merit Scholarships" from Dr. Ashok Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Group and Mr. Atul Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity University.
Dr. (Mrs.) B Shukla, Vice Chancellor; Prof. (Dr.) Gurinder Singh, Additional Group Vice Chancellor; Dr. Upinder Dhar, ?Group Addl. Vice Chancellor of the university, and Dr. W Selvamurthy, President, Amity Science, Technology and Innovation Foundation, were also present on the occasion.
"Dr. Ashok K Chauhan Scholarships" include 100 percent fee waiver and are awarded to the students who secure 93 percent aggregate and above in Class XII or 93 percent aggregate and above in Class XII and 80 percent in graduation.
"On Admission Merit Scholarships" include 50 percent fee waiver and are awarded to the students who secure 88 percent aggregate and above in Class XII or 93 percent aggregate and above in 10+2 and 75 percent in graduation.
Congratulating the scholarship holders, Dr.Chauhan said acquiring the scholarship is a huge achievement for the students not because of the monetary aspect because of the sense of pride and recognition attached to it.
Sharing his dreams with the students, Dr. Chauhan said all Amitians are groomed to become great examples of success which is possible through hard work and good values.
He averred that it was his dream of making India a "Superpower" through the success of Amitians.
