Arsenal on verge of CL exit post 5-1 rout by Bayern

Arsenal's hopes of reaching the Champions League knockout stage dealt a heavy blow after suffering a 5-1 defeat at the hands of Bayern Munich at Allianz Arena.
German striker Thomas Muller struck twice as the hosts avenged their only loss of the season, a 2-0 defeat by the Gunners a fortnight ago, Sport24 reported.
Robert Lewandowski opened the scoring before David Alaba and Arjen Robben consolidated the lead.
Oliver Giroud raised Arsenal's hopes briefly by scoring their consolation goal with 20 minutes left.
With the defeat, Arsenal chances of securing a knockout stage berth appears bleak with two games to spare.
