Bank employees are observing a day-long strike over a demand for revision of wages.
On Wednesday, banking operations were hit across the country as result of the strike spearheaded by the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU).
UFBU Convener C H Venkatachalam claimed that all nine member banks had joined the strike
The wage revision of bank employees has been due since November 2012.
