'Belt of explosives' found in litter bin in southern Paris

A device resembling a belt of explosives has been found in a litter bin by police in the town of Montrouge south of Paris and is currently being analysed.
According to The Guardian, the item was found in a residential street near students' accommodation.
The area where the device was found has been shut down as police examine the material.
There was no police confirmation yet as to whether it was an explosives belt.
