Benedict Cumberbatch to receive CBE in Queen's birthday honours list

Benedict Cumberbatch will be honoured with CBE in Queen's birthday honours list for his services to drama.

Despite 'The Imitation Game' star's acclaimed performances, some have apparently questioned whether the 38-year-old's career was advanced enough for the title, Contactmusic.com has reported.

A CBE - Commander of the Order of the British Empire, is bestowed on those who have a prominent role at a national level, or for a distinguished or innovative contribution to any area. Around half of the people nominated for the prestigious title are aged 60-80.
