The Election Commission has asked
all political parties to refrain from using provocative languages in speeches during campaigning for the Bihar Assembly polls.
In an advisory issued on Tuesday, the Election Commission categorically instructed all political leaders and contesting candidates that votes should not be sought on caste or religious lines.
It further said that no personal attack should be made and the dignity of women should not be compromised during the campaigning.
The advisory comes in the wake of political parties and leaders reportedly using improper language during the public meetings.
