Billy Joel admits being 'too scared' to being addicted to heroin

Billy Joel has revealed that he once tried heroin but was "too scared" to get addicted to it.
Speaking to Radio DJ Howard Stern, the 64-year-old American singer-songwriter admitted that he had tried the highly addictive class-A drug in the late '70s but he got so "wasted and scared" that he never wanted to touch it again, the Mirror reported.
The 'Tell Her About It' hitmaker also revealed that the experience inspired the lyrics of 1982 song 'Scandinavian Skies' which had reference to the "sins of Amsterdam" and leaving him "paralyzed".
