Imrul Kayes' combative 59 helped Bangladesh survive against India's spinners during the first session of the fourth day's play of the Fatullah Test on Saturday.

The weather continued to interrupt play, as both sides went in for an early lunch due to bad light. Bangladesh were 111-3 when the umpires decided to take lunch. Kayes and Shakib al Hasan were at the crease on 59 and 0 respectively.

Earlier, India declared on their overnight score of 462-6 and entered the field with the objective of bowling Bangladesh out as early as possible and enforce the follow on.

Ravichandran Ashwin took the new ball and has been most impressive of the Indian bowlers, picking up two wickets. Harbhajan Singh, who is making a comeback to the international arena, looked a pale shadow of his former self though.

Nothing much has happened from his end, although Mominul Haque gifted his wicket away with a daft shot. Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim were Ashwin's victims - both done in by turn and bounce.

There was nothing in it for the pacers and Kayes battled to score his fifty.
