The Congress distanced itself from its party Spokesperson Shashi Tharoor's statement that the opposition would be "churlish" in ignoring the voices of inclusive outreach of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"What Shashi Tharoor expressed for the government are his personal views, it is too early to express these views as far as the party is concerned. The Congress party wont point fingers for nothing, we will act as a constructive Opposition," said Congress leader Shobha Oza.
"Congress party is still waiting for Modi to put in practice what he preached, my views are the party's views," she added.
Tharoor had yesterday said in a post that Modi has re-branded himself from a hate-figure into apostle of development.
He also said that the Indian PM, in the couple of weeks since his election, has been conciliatory and inclusive in both his pronouncements and his actions.
