Cop shot by suspected militants in Jammu and Kashmir

A policeman suffered bullet injury after being shot by suspected militants in Bijbehara town of Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district here on Friday.

Mohammad Altaf was admitted to the sub-district hospital of the town, from where he was referred to a hospital in Srinagar.

The police and the army have cordoned off the area and started searching for attackers.
