Cops donate blood to injured Maoists in Vizag

In a rare gesture, two cops from the special party personnel wing have donated blood to save the lives of two Maoists who suffered bullet injuries during an encounter in Pedapadu in Visakhapatnam district.
The incident occurred some days back, where Gemmeli Narsing and Muvvala Ambri - the two Maoists -- were arrested after an exchange of fire with security personnel between the Pedapadu and Cheepurugondi forest ranges.
Both of them were given first aid at G.K. Veedhi village following which the doctors referred them to King George Hospital (KGH).
Visakha Rural Superintendent of Police Rahul Dev Sharma appreciated the security personnel for extending help to the two.
"They required blood for surgery and nobody was available and our special party constables donated their blood," said Sharma.

"The operation was a successful and both are safe and out of danger," he added.
"Police are serving very well, like family members, and two police men donated us blood. They are taking good care of us and are serving us healthy food," Narsingh told ANI.
Narsing had a one lakh reward on his head.
