Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday alleged that the Congress and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) are corrupt parties sharing the same ideology.
"Congress, NCP don't care about people, but about their pockets. Tell me of one sector where corruption doesn't exist. Maharashtra has been looted. Every nook and corner has been looted," said Prime Minister Modi.
"Congress and NCP may be two parties, but their ideals are the same. They are not nationalist, they are corrupt. Let us pledge that we will not allow Maharashtra to be looted any further," he added.
Prime Minister Modi alleged that the number of terror incidents increased under the Congress-Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) rule in Maharashtra.
Addressing an election rally in Gondia, he said that Maharashtra sealed the second spot after Uttar Pradesh as far as the number of cases of communal violence was concerned.

"Maharashtra has seen the highest number of terror incidents in this soil, right after Uttar Pradesh, maximum number of communal riots happened in Maharashtra during Congress-NCP regime," he said.
Prime Minister Modi also lashed out at Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar, saying he did not take any steps which would be beneficial for the farmers of Maharashtra as the country's Agriculture Minister.
"Sharad Pawar was sitting in Delhi while more than 3700 farmers committed suicide every year," Prime Minister Modi said.
"I don't understand why clock is not moving at all for NCP. They are stuck at the same thing. Do we want Vidarbha to remain like this? It is you who will have to decide," he added.
Drawing comparison with Chhattisgarh, Prime Minister Modi further said, "You all interact closely with the people of Chhattisgarh. Tell me why Chhattisgarh moved ahead while Maharashtra lagged behind. You should think why tribals in Chhattisgarh are better off than those in Maharashtra."
Maharashtra will go to polls on October 15 along with Haryana while the counting in both states will be held on October 19.
